Bass Reeves and Family

The legend of Bass Reeves as a lawman is very unique and inspiring. This will be my first addition to this series with a foot note that many of these lawmen were family men and men of faith. I love the storied history of so many of them and have desired to put their “story” down in bronze. Bronze is a legendary method that has stood the test of time.

The legend of Bass Reeves deserves to be cast in bronze and it has been done well before. My contribution is in the fact that he believed in a just God and carried his bible, Gods Word, in to “battle”. He loved and cherished his family and no doubt this was some of his motivation in carrying out this duty. Lone Ranger inspiration or not either way I admire and am inspired by his public witness about his God.
